Classified Ad Manager

Our Lady of the Lake University graduate Erica Quintanilla found herself joining the Wilson County News team in August 2003 as part-time help. The newspaper soon took a new direction and Erica found herself helping in many departments. Currently, she serves as the Classified Ad Manager and many of her duties also revolve around helping with display advertising accounting.

Because Erica received her Bachelor of Art degree in sociology with a minor in criminal justice in December 2002, she never thought she would find herself working at a newspaper. But she did, and she has come to find that she really enjoys her job at the WCN, where she has learned so much.

In her spare time, she stays busy taking her eight-year-old son, Adryen, to games in the Spurs Basketball League and in the Stockdale Little League. She also enjoys supporting her boyfriend, B.J. Soto, when he and his band, The Big Outfit, play at different locations throughout South Texas. When she has a spare moment away from work and family, she likes reading about her true interest – the criminal justice system. She and her family reside in Stockdale.

Erica says her favorite thing about her job at WCN is the great group of people that she works with and the friendly work environment.
