Sports and hunting guru Robert McDonald began working at the Wilson County News in June 2006. He left a seven-year career as an insurance claims adjuster to pursue writing something family and friends had encouraged him to do.
His reporting for the paper allows him to write about many of his favorite interests: hunting, fishing, nature, and sports. Robert says of his new job at the paper, "I get paid to do something I love
watch sports!!"
A Judson High School graduate, Robert attended Texas A&M, graduating with a degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences. He and his family reside in Wilson County.
